About OASIS Scholarship
The OASIS Scholarship (Online Application for Scholarship in Studies) is an effective initiative taken by the Backward Classes Welfare Department of Government of West Bengal to provide an amount of financial support to students belongs to SC, ST, and OBC categories to pursue their higher education in different UG, PG & PhD Courses
Oasis Scholarship 2024-25: Last Date to Apply
The last date to apply Oasis scholarship is 31st October 2024. Online Oasis Scholarship Application for Pre Matric SC, Prematric ST, Pre Matric OBC, Post Matric SC, Post Matric ST , Post Matric OBC & Pre Matric Component-II is started for 2024-25 Session.
Types of OASIS Scholarship
1. Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST students
2. Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST students
3. Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC students
OASIS Scholarship Amount:

Objectives:
The main Objective of the Scholarship is to encourage SC/ST and OBC students to continue their education at the secondary level and also to pursue higher education that will reduce dropout rates.
Eligibility Criteria for OASIS Scholarship 2024
1. The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
2. Students must belong to SC, ST, or OBC categories.
3. For Pre-Matric Scholarship, Students must be studying in Class 9 or 10
4. For Post-Matric Scholarship, Students must have cleared Class 10 and be enrolled in higher secondary or education courses.
5. For SC/ST students, family income should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh per annum. For OBC students, family income should not exceed ₹1 lakh per annum.
How to apply for OASIS Scholarship?
Application Process has 4 stages:
1.Registration:For registration visit the official OASIS website and select the appropriate district where the student resides and fill out the basic details for registration.
2. Login:
After successful registration, login credentials (User ID and Password) will be generated, and use this user ID and Password will be used to log in and complete the application form.
3. Form Submission:
After login students will complete the form by filling in their personal, educational, and bank details after that upload required documents such as a caste certificate, income certificate, academic certificate, and a recent photograph. Then Submit the form after thoroughly verifying the entire information in the application.

Selection Process of OASIS Scholarship
The OASIS Scholarship selection procedure basically consists of the following steps:
- Online Registration: First of all applicants have to register on the scholarship portal’s official website. After filling all the data that were asked during the registration process, users have to submit those. After enrolment, applicant must complete the scholarship application form online. They may be asked to supply information about their educational background, family income, bank account information, and so on.
- Upload Required Documents: During scholarship applying process, applicants are normally requested to submit clear scanned copies of supporting papers such as income certificates, all required latest academic scan copies, proof of domicile, caste certificate etc.
- Official Verification: After submitting applications, Applicant’s information undergo scrutiny by the appropriate authorities to ensure eligibility and validity for further processing.
- Approval and Disbursement of Amount: Once successful verification done, qualified candidates are notified regarding their selection for the scholarship, and the scholarship amount is sent immediately into their given bank accounts.
- The selection of candidates is based on merit and eligibility criteria. After submission, the application will be verified by local authorities (BDO/SDO). After verification, the scholarship amount will be directly transferred to the student’s bank account.

Renewal Process of OASIS Scholarship
Students who are already availing the scholarship need to apply for renewal every year. For renewal, Log in to the Official portal by using the previous login ID and password and apply for renewal by updating the academic progress and other required details.
